Audience Research Analysis
We decided as a gorup that we would do a focus group for our audience research as well as questionnaires.
by doing this we thought we would be able to see more fo the emotion on the groups faces when asking the questions and hoped to get a more detailed answer.
The first questions which was asked was a time question we decided to aks them how long they thought a hip hop genre song should last for and all of them agreed that it should be aorund 3 minutes long for a music video. htis is able to help us when we shoot our musicvideo because we will be ale to make sure it meets around the 3 minute makr to suit the audience.
The second question was what mood and emotion do they feel when listening to this style of music. individually they decided that one thought it made them feel happy and they could get up and dance to it and someone else siad that it made them feel calm and relaxed. this was a good bti of feedback for us as we are able to make the video more calming and not so arratic with alot of violence, so we may just have one perosn in the music video who is the artist the whole time rahter than a gang of people.
The third question which was asked was, where did they feel the setting/location should be for the video of the song, we asked them this to help us feel our selves where the setting should be for our music video. we had answers like a youth centre, in the streets, and a back ally, these ar eall types of urbn settings so they would be great when designing our music video becuase hip hop genres manily all have an urban setting.
we finally then asked them if they thought that the artist should be performing in the video or whether it should be a mixture of events made into a story. They all said it should have a mixture of both so the lyrics link to the song but the artisit is still able ot perform them, we will be able to use this informaiton to help us when shooting our music video.
